Summary

My name is James Leon Dowdy III. I have been in commission sales my entire professional career dating back to 1987. I began work in the car business at age eleven. Over the years people have asked me, "How did you get into the car business?" I would tell them, "I wrecked my minibike into some ladies station wagon." Almost 100% of the time they would tilt their head to the side. Allow me to explain. My father was at that time the manager of a Buick dealership and he agreed to have the ladies station wagon brought to the dealership for repairs. That night he came home and declared that I would work after school and on Saturdays until the debt was settled. Once the debt was settled I realized how much I liked having my own money and have been working since. After college, I started selling cars. I realized then I liked a performance based income & I have been on a commission pay structure since. The plaques, the awards, the gifts and the trips were a nice bonus as well. I'm older now and have a couple minor health issues, one being arthritis & the other COPD which is why I'm seeking a work from home career. Neither of my ailments prevent me from sitting at my desk working the phone or a computer. I am still hungry. There is still lots of fire in me. I am a quick study and pick things up fast. I have always been an asset to any team I have been a part of. I could be a member of yours. I limited my resume to the past 24 years of work experience as it would continue to read the same & the only thing to change would be the dealership name. I look forward to hearing from you.
