Maintenance Supervisor- Reports to Maintenance Manager
· Oversee and mentor the Assistant Mechanic, the Field Service/Shop Tech, and the Diesel Mechanic.
· Oversee and coordinate all aspects of shop maintenance, which includes repairs, PM’s, fabrication, welding, heavy repairs, and adherence to safety protocols for all shop employees.
· Schedule PM services and coordinate with logistics to move equipment from jobsites to the shop for service.
· Work with the logistics supervisor and the drivers to coordinate incoming equipment and where it needs to be unloaded. Immobilized equipment will need to be planned for special unloading procedures.
· Maintain the Limble database for all work being performed. This includes creating work orders for all work coming through the maintenance department, creating new templates for new equipment or new procedures.
· Maintain accurate shop inventory and item costs with help from shop employees in the Limble database. Inventory shop stock as needed to maintain accuracy.
· Assign work orders to shop personnel to fit the workload and skill level of the tech, to ensure an efficient repair schedule.
· Respond to field repair requests by foreman and superintendents. Acquire the information needed to make decisions on how we will proceed with repairs.
· Communicate the response time to the foreman/superintendent and an estimate of time required to complete the repair. If equipment is needed immediately, inform logistics of the issue and that the job needs replacement equipment.
· Ensure the shop maintains a safe working environment, and that we have all the correct equipment to stay safe.
· Ensure the technicians stay up to date on any company training.
· Maintain accurate repair records and audit the technicians’ repair records within the Limble database.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Look for opportunities to drive continued improvement in efficiency and cost savings through shop improvements, software, training seminars, etc.
· Coordinated periodic DOT inspections with the Maintenance Manager and the drivers of the vehicles.

· Communicate status updates of vehicles & equipment in the shop, or waiting for repairs, with estimated completion dates, part order delays, or any other relevant information.
· Bi-annual performance reviews for the shop employees.
· Assist with shop repairs when not working on primary supervisor tasks.
· Communicate with vendors and suppliers to maintain inventory.
· Assist with the hiring and termination process.
· Maintain up-to-date company training course assignments.
· Keep mobile phone charged and available for emergency calls.
· Occasional after hour or weekend emergency service calls.
