• Responsible for developing and delivering Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and training curriculum, based on the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) product line.
• Developed 2000 plus page Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) for the US Navy, using FrameMaker 10 and RoboHelp 9 (Adobe Technical Communication Suite 3.5) to fix an immediate customer requirement for a searchable IETM, based on MIL-STD-40051 (customer requested specification).
• Continued to develop incremental updates to an existing IETM for the US Navy, based on contract changes, using FrameMaker 11 and RoboHelp 10 (Adobe Technical Communication Suite 4.
• Developed Advanced Maintenance Manual for US Navy, using MIL-STD-40051 specification.
• Worked with consultant to develop several FrameMaker scripts and conversion table for mapping and migration of unstructured FrameMaker files to S1000D Issue 4.1.
• Developed S1000D Issue 4.1 Data Modules (DMs) using Mekon Eclipse Create S1000D for FrameMaker.
• Created high quality raster and vector graphics for the books (PDFs) and IETM, using Solidworks (3DVIA) Composer.

• Managed, developed and edited Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) based user guides for Roamworks Research & Development GmbH, covering a variety of Roamworks topics, such as: Remote Operational Asset Management (ROAM core), Asset and Asset Group Tracking and Monitoring, ESRI & Google Maps, Geofences, Reports & Alarms, Satellite and GPRS Email and SMS notifications, Machine to Machine (M2M), Telematics and Watchcat™ and Walkbacks.
• Worked closely with Track24 (a major customer), to deliver the latest Command, Control, Communication and Information (C4I) and Situational Awareness (SA) based documentation, covering enhancements to their Situational Command and Control (SCC), Situational Command and Control Tactical (SCCT), Falconview software and other related applications.
• Created graphic rich templates for Roamworks sales and marketing staff, using MS Word. This allowed the staff to easily update and re-purpose the templates, on their own, using a common software product.
• Met with developers in Bonn and in Dubai (over Skype) to report bugs I had found in the software, as well as to offer input, for overall enhancement, to the Roamworks applications.
• Developed 54 page PowerPoint presentation on a weekend (my own time) with marketing ideas, that could be used to drive in new business.

• Managed and developed multi-volume S1000D publication (Marine Gas Turbine – MT30 Engine) for Rolls Royce Naval Marine Inc. (RRNMI), as a publication deliverable for the DDG 1000 USS Zumwalt naval destroyer.

Led team of application engineers and writers in the development of several hundred “customized” user manuals for the end users (customers).

• As "Team Lead", developed 2200-plus page Technical Manual (4 Volumes) on Global Broadcast System (GBS) Transportable Satellite Broadcast Manager (TSBM) for US Army and US Air Force.
• Created custom “XML Transforms” to convert “Structured” FrameMaker 8 books to XHTML (IETM) output.
• Developed Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) using Scalable Vector Graphics (SVGs) with code fix to eliminate “Click here to activate and use this control” message found when viewing customer content through Internet Explorer.
• Created protected MS Word templates based on MIL-STD-40051 and implemented password-protect option to protect MS Word document styles from corruption.
• Implemented single source graphic solution (Enhanced Metafile or .emf), linking every graphic to file. This kept MS Word document size down and allowed a Macro to be run that would immediately generate a list of (linked) graphics, used in a document, for tracking purposes.

• Researched, designed and developed Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Ship System Manuals (SSMs) for Ballistic (SSBN) and Guided (SSGN) Nuclear class submarines.
• Edited Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) for Integrated Radio Room (IRR) – Trident submarine program.
• Created end-to-end drawings for EHF, SHF, UHF, VHF, HF and ELF communication circuits.
• Developed SOPs for circuits such as Polar Broadcast, implementing EHF Low Data Rate (LDR) & Medium Data Rate (MDR) data via EHF Follow On Terminal (FOT) for jam resistant & Low Probability of Detection (LPD).
• Implemented tactical data from “Control Room” to “Radio Room” for Tomahawk Strike Networks.

• Co-wrote top level Department of Defense (DoD) proposal for multi-member defense contractor alliance.
