  • Duties have included the enforcement and compliance of all state laws and primary investigations of all vehicle related collisions and deaths occurring on all Oklahoma roadways not covered by a municipal jurisdiction.
  • Issuing citations, warnings and making arrests for violations through patrol movements of an assigned area.
  • Establishing a self initiated work program that maximizes coverage, need and effectiveness. Such program was designed to help individual troop goals of reducing the overall collision percentage within the designated patrol area.
  • Responding to situations with little information or resources, assessment of the situation and to devise and implement a rational plan of action unique and effective for the situation, often under stressful conditions and time constraints.
  • Controlling a scene to analyzing and managing risk for current operations.
  • Safely operating a patrol vehicle, often during high speed maneuvering and high stress situations while conducting radio and other forms of communication among dispatchers, fellow officers and partnering agencies.
