• Job tasks consisted of wire terminations. Terminated many different panels, from 120/208v to 277/480v.
• Hand bent cables with proper formulations. Cut and crimped cables (350KCMIL). Fully terminated step down transformers.
• Pulled 350KCMIL cables from 480v panel to transformer, Formed, cut, crimped, and landed onto bus bars accordingly.
• Pulled 500KCMIL from transformer to 120/208v panel. formed, cut, and landed in breaker, then torqued to ft lbs spec.
• Requirements were to wear EEW suits (12 cal. and 40 cal.) when working on live panels. Worked on substations; installing supports for medium voltage okanite shielded 35kV 250KCMIL cables, trimmed and cut to length, stripped back outer jackets using various hand tools.
• Applied stress cones or heat shrink to cable then used propane torch to shrink tubes to cables. in subfab of FAB42 level 2; bent and installed 3/4" to 2" EMT conduit using triple nickel, and hand benders. Installed cable tray, wire ways, and PVC pipe for ground cables.
