Project Title
Characterizing Nighttime Signal Fading for NVIS Communications at Mediumwave Frequencies
- Apply skills in MATLAB, Excel, and SDRplay software to support project goals
- Attend professional development sessions such as weekly speaker series from knowledgeable links to Navy engineering, tours of NAVSEA Warfare Center, and tours of ARL's Garfield Thomas Water Tunnel
- Create and contribute to MATLAB scripts to plot user specified data and identify trends in signal fading using data collected from SDRplay software and YouLoop receiving antenna
- Strengthen skills in MATLAB and Software Defined Radio (SDR) through hands-on experience
- Work on a project focused on identifying trends in nighttime signal fading of NVIS and Single-hop propagation
