As a high school student working as a cashier, I was responsible for providing excellent customer service, and maintaining an efficient checkout process. My main duties included:

• Greeting customers and assisting with purchases in a friendly, professional manner.
• Balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
• Working collaboratively with team members to maintain smooth store operations during busy periods.

• Maintained cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays.
• Handled cash, credit, and refund transactions accurately for customer purchases.
• Followed company policies for loss prevention and safety procedures diligently.
• Operated cash register or POS system to receive payment by cash, check and credit card.
