I arrive at my job at 7am, when I arrive a have a short list of tasks to complete before work begins. I start by watering the sorting hallways and sorting pens, then I begin filling in all low spots or holes in the auction ring. When the ring is prepared for cattle to be sold I then water the ring. That completes my tasks for the first part of the morning, by now it is around 8:30am. Soon people will arrive with cattle to sell, myself and others will sort them and pen them where they need to be when the auction begins. I do that until 11am then I go to the other side of the barn and preg check or age all the cows that are brought in. When we are done with that it is near selling time, now I will pen sold cattle until they are all sold. When the auction is over we load all of the sold cattle onto different trailers, when loading is done we take out the trash and clean up. Now it is time to collect our checks and go home.
