  • Improved team collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Currently work in electrophysiology lab providing set up and maintaining Anesthesia machine's and airway management equipment. assisting anes. provider in intubations for Pt.'s undergoing general anes., point of care lab work, EKG testing & monitoring, pulse oximetry monitoring & sterile set up for invasive pressure monitoring lines also electrophysiology studies along with devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
  • Work in structural heart procedures includin aortic valve replacement, Watchman devices & mitral clip procedures
  • Prior to EP lab I worked in Cardiovascular surgery for 38 years serving as a cardiovascular technician and anesthesia technologist where I performed hemodynamic monitoring including diagnostic cardiac profiles, point of care testing that included arterial and venous blood gases, coagulation studies. I also assisted in setting up cardiac echo machines, running Cell saver intraoperative autologous blood recovery machines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, fiberoptic bronchoscopes, monitoring equipment trouble shooting in OR & ICU's.
  • I served in the capacity of educator in the dept. of Cardiovascular Tech. Support providing in-services & training on various cardiac and anesthesia procedures and equipment.
  • In 1992- 1994 I worked part time in the original corporate wellness group that performed health screenings at corporate and business locations around Huntsville and North AL.
  • The test's we performed were BP, heart rate, Ht. & Wt. & cholesterol levels.
  • Prior to coming to Huntsville Hosp. I worked at UAB hospital in two areas: 1st. was on a cardiac research unit doing cardiac function studies, utilizing hemodynamics & EKG studies, such as cardiac mapping & other rhythm studies.
  • I then transferred to the Anes. dept. with a group titled Perioperative evaluation team where we performed stat lab test on pt.'s undergoing general anes. during surgical procedures. We also participated in anes. research protocols gathering data such as blood gases and other lab work values, performed and maintained hemodynamic tests & equipment in the OR's and in the post surgical ICU's
  • Prior to working at UAB I was employed as a paramedic at a private ambulance company in the Birmingham-Jefferson county metro area.
