James Sampson

I participated in a snorkeling tour with a Marine Biologist on the Great Barrier Reef. As part of this tour, I learned about:

• The different life forms on the reef
• How coral and aquatic life co-existed and benefited from each other
• The coral's growth in the area which is slowly recovering.

Assisted with special events and activities for homeless people and families as part of a school program. This included participating in several food drives (making lunches) which were sent onto homeless shelters in the area.

have been a camp participant for the past 3-4 years:

• Learned about local ecosystems and various life forms within Sarasota Bay
• Participated in beach cleanup days
• Studied the causes and impact of red tide
• Became proficient in talking about the various exhibits within the aquarium.
