  • My duties as a Security Officer at Conifer Park are to ensure that any issues that arise in the waiting room, the clinic, or outside are fixed immediately.
  • I make sure patients and staff are safe and are following the rules of the clinic.
  • I have to deescalate the patients that become angry and agitated with the clinic.
  • I have to deescalate patients who get into arguments with each other.
  • I do rounds throughout the whole clinic and the whole property outside to make sure all of the patients are following the clinic rules that are set forth.
  • Also, I have taken on the role as a Peer Monitor, also at the same time.
  • I check in the patients that are coming in the clinic
  • I let them in the dosing room so they can talk to nursing and get their meds

  • While I sort mail on a machine, I must make the decision to sort more mail or less mail depending on how much time we have left to get the mail out on time
  • If my machine was late on sorting the mail, then the trucks delivering the mail to the local post offices would be late
  • While I was working during my one-year term for the post office, I had to train a new clerk on how to use the machine and how to do dispatch to put the mail onto the right trucks
  • Also during my time at the post office, I had to figure out by using the computer on my machine if the machine was running fast enough to run the mail
  • If something was wrong, I would have to call over the maintenance guy to fix the problem
  • I had to observe the machine to make sure its running properly to figure out if it would run smoothly throughout the night
  • If the machine would break, I would have to ask the maintenance guy what's wrong or ask the other clerk like myself to see what he did wrong to break it or if it just happened
  • With the computer that's attached to the machine, I could go to the history and find out how the machines been doing the past week, month, or even years and compare the speed and production of the machine.
