Provide life skills coaching to special needs students, ages 10-14. Design and implement lesson plans, covering basic curriculum subjects including math, science, social studies, and English. Deliver life skills classes, covering social etiquette, public behavior, hygiene, organizational skills, etc.

Conduct behavior check-ins with students on a daily basis

As a Recreation Director I run and facilitate physical activities for all ages 5-65 with a wide scope of intellectual, physical and behavioral needs. As a counselor I pride myself in taking the time to understand each and every camper and find out what things i can do to make sure they enjoy their time at camp and feel welcomed, safe, and accepted.

Possesses skills in a variety of trades including landscaping, hardscaping, roofing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, lawn care, treework, engine repair, and experience operating heavy machinery

Built houses, retaining walls for erosion control, ponds, garages, installed greens on golf courses, poured concrete slabs, and much more

I worked in a self contained classroom with 4 students ages 8-11. The main focus was on curriculum, communication, behaviors and self regulation. The students i worked with were non verbal and were working on developing their means of communication along with appropriate coping skills for their behaviors. Using behaviors plans and discrete trials i helped the students achieve significant behavioral and communication improvements.
