Summary

Caring and innovative teacher for more than 30 years. During those years, my passion for fishing for trout grew and coincided with my understanding of cold water fisheries habitat and conservation. I taught my children and wife about the joys of catch and release fly-fishing and the importance of maintaining healthy rivers, and streams is a legacy that needs to continue. Over the past 20 years, my involvement with Trout Unlimited, Spokane Riverkeeper, and Lands Council has led to the creation of the SGS Water Warriors Program and student involvement with riparian studies and restoration work along the Little Spokane River watershed and the Spokane River watershed. I have been an ardent volunteer with the Riverkeeper Program taking part in trash cleanup floats and supporting legislation as it pertains to the Clean Water Act and Department of Ecology standards.
