The thesis analyzes the effects of imperialism evident in gender expression children during Roman Egypt while using analyses of their respective mortuary portraiture in Egypt's Fayum Basin.   • Surveys conducted in Rome, Italy over the course of 6 weeks which elucidated the aftereffects of the Holocaust in post-fascist Italy. Information from interlocutors, interviewees, art, iconography, and historical documents were compiled from field work in the Roman Ghetto.
