Introduced Shared Governance and help to develop and initiate the unit-based councils; assisted with a comprehensive policy review and helped bring those up to date and in accordance with evidence based practice; reviewed and edited sections of our 14 volume document as validation that we had successfully fulfilled all requirements for designation. After an extensive review by the ANCC , we were granted Pathway to Excellence designation. The first Kentucky facility to receive the honor.

2. First RN in Kentucky to successfully obtain the CNML credential (Certified Nurse Manager Leader)
