I assist New and Used car stores with sourcing used cars and getting trade numbers for vehicles they do not keep.
I have been sourcing vehicles for stores for 28 years. I have a in depth working knowledge of the auction process, dealer networking and online platforms to find vehicles.
I left Euro in the fall of 2014 when the Parent company- Austrian Motors - sold the Lot of US stores to a US dealer group. I knew that the new ownership would drastically effect the process we had in place and decided to go back to working for myself.
All of the stores that I had worked for prior to working at Euro Motorcars were happy to have me assist them again with sourcing inventory. I have been able to continue to grow that business since that time.
One of my Clients that I had added to my group of stores was Euro Motorcars. In the spring of 2010 the Used Car Mgr- Gregg Eisenberg - approached me about moving to MD to work inside the store for Euro. He wanted to grow the used car business and was eager to have my network of dealers help him with sourcing invertory. I accepted the position as wholesale manager in the fall of 2010 and moved the family to MD in December, I was in charge of Overseeing all trades for the 5 brands at the location as well as buying cars for the Mercedes Used car Dept.
I left Carmax in 2002 to start my own wholesale company. I developed a hybrid model for myself in which I was contract buyer for stores in and around Chicagoland but I also got a wholesale license to buy and sell trades that my stores did not want. I also traveled to the highline auctions every week in different cities to preview and purcahse invertory. I grew this business over the next 8 years, adding stores around the country to assist them with their purchasing and appraisal needs.
I was hired in Atlanta in 1996 to assist with purchasing vehicles in that market. I worked at 2 different locations in Atlanta until May of 1998 when I was relocated to Chicago to assist with opening the last 2 stores of 5 total in the first multi store expansion for the company at the time. I was a part of 2 hiring centers as well as one of 3 senior buyers at the Schaumburg location to train new buyers hired in that region.
