I-405/NE 132nd Street Interchange Project

• Overseeing a $54M Design-Build project involving the construction of a half-diamond interchange with roundabouts at each ramp terminal, three fish-passage culverts, stream-channel restoration, retaining walls, and intelligent transportation system elements, including CCTV cameras, traffic data loops, ramp meters, and pedestrian signal systems.
• Negotiating change orders and resolving issues effectively without escalating to the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB), ensuring project continuity and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Engaging extensively with adjacent residential neighborhoods impacted by the project, addressing community concerns and maintaining positive relationships throughout the construction process.

I-405 Renton to Bellevue HOV and Widening Project

• Managed Business Team functions, including overseeing payments and preparing written correspondence to ensure smooth financial operations and clear communication.
• Supervised the review and approval processes for both Design-Builder Initiated and Owner-Initiated Change Orders, ensuring thorough evaluation and alignment with project goals.
• Negotiated and settled change orders, effectively addressing and resolving changes to maintain project scope and budget.
• Coordinated changes and additional work with local jurisdictions, preparing necessary documentation and facilitating amendments to local agreements to ensure regulatory compliance and project integration.

WSDOT Northwest Region – Various Projects

SR 518, 1st Ave South to Interstate 5 Paving and Seismic Retrofit

• Administered and oversaw contracts, including negotiating change orders, reviewing and approving payments, ensuring permit compliance, and coordinating construction traffic control with local jurisdictions.

SR 518 Off Ramp to Des Moines Memorial Drive

• Served as WSDOT Project Engineer for design-bid-build project;

• Oversaw change order negotiations and managed issue resolution, including presenting cases before the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB);

• Maintained coordination and communication with City of Burien and affected utilities

I-90 Tunnels Fire Suppression & Life Safety Upgrades

• Supported Project Management for a $180M systems upgrade project, contributing to effective project execution and oversight.
• Facilitated change order negotiations and resolved issues, ensuring smooth project progress and adherence to scope and budget.

SR 520 Bridge Replacement & HOV Program – Various Projects

SR 520 Floating Bridge & Landings Project Team

• Supervised a team responsible for design oversight and verification of Contractor submittals, focusing on civil engineering elements of the floating bridge.
• Incorporated addenda into Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure accurate and comprehensive project documentation.
• Provided feedback on engineering and contractual issues, facilitating informed decision-making and project alignment.
• Reviewed design and construction schedules, ensuring project timelines are met and adjustments are managed effectively.
• Assisted in refining the Design-Builder quality control process, enhancing project quality and performance.

Transportation Team

• Coordinated design with geotechnical engineers; Developed detour route for use during construction, including work to support haul route agreement; Obtained construction easement from United States Forest Service.
