- Designed and built T1, DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48, and Ethernet from 10Meg and up to 10Gig circuits over the Windstream Fiber optic network by using a combination of SONET, Data Muxponder (DMXP), Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM), DACS, and Mux equipment. Identified and requested required equipment as well as areas of the SONET network that needed to be augmented in order to successfully deliver service to our customers. Planned and supported grooming activity to augment the SONET network to streamline and rearrange existing services as the network expanded. Worked with multiple other departments via tasks in Metasolv, our inventory system, as well as through email and conference calls daily. Worked with our customers directly to plan and implement hot cut grooming projects on existing services.

Worked with Outside plant to conduct site surveys of the customer location in order to adjust the EWR equipment that was to be installed at the customer location in order to meet the customer’s needs.

Reviewed and completed orders from other LECs or IXCs that were submitted to e-Tel. Monitored and reviewed call traffic from the 5ESS switch to identify peak busy hours in order to ensure we were not blocking any customer calls due to bandwidth constraints.
