Being responsible for monitoring the planned passage of the vessel and ensuring that the ship is under a safety route in all matters. Being in charge of LSA and FFE on daily maintenance and periodical inspections, as per manufactures and company policy.
Assisting and being part of mooring and unmooring operations. Conducting trainings for new joiners dedicated for LSA and FFE, such as operation on how to launch lifeboat, being part of different emergencies drills as per SOLAS regulations.
Being fully in charge of communications equipment's, taking maintenance and periodically tests of GMDSS equipment's as per international regulations.
Currently I have 2 years 10 months of sea service as 3rd Mate, working onboard on tankers ships.
