I was given the opportunity of learning to be a graphic designer through hands-on experience at TP Printing Co. I fulled enjoyed what I did there for 9 years. Working to be creative and have a great working environment. I also worked to proofread and edit copy for the weekly newspapers. Also working toward meeting an efficient deadline. Over the years I received awards for work with print ads and other various projects. It was a fulfilling experience and I was glad that the company took a chance on me. Before I was a graphic designer I worked at CarQuest, first delivering parts to businesses in the surrounding areas and then I was taught to work customer service, answering phones and dealing with daily questions from customers. I got very good at knowing about the automotive industry and became very confident.
After I had a second child, I decided that it was best to be with my children at home and take care of them. Our first child just turned 14. Her name is Everlly and she has Down syndrome. She has changed our lives in so many ways and she's a shining example of how an individual can change your outlook on the world. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 10 years. Taking care of our 4 children. They are all in school now and I have been looking for employment that would be suitable for my family and I, with some flexibility. Being a mom and with my past employment experiences I have been able to learn so much from on the job experience.
I'm a highly motivated individual with great organizational skills, time management and multi-tasking abilities. I have also done photography over the years, which that is my creative outlet, as well as designing logos for certain businesses over the years. My family participated in our local Down syndrome group for a few years and I worked closely with the founders for various events.
