I have trained and been a positive mentor for countless new grads as well as helping agency/travel and new hire nurses get familiarized with TMC policies and procedures throughout my many years. I appreciate helping other nurses reach and maintain their goals. I am ready for further growth in my own career and would love the opportunity to continue to learn.

Spent 4 years in intensive observation with ratios of 2-3:1 with care focused on the more acutely ill patients

• Drips initiated and maintained
• Extensive wound and drain care
• Vital signs monitored in realtime with bedside monitoring
• Frequent use of arterial lines

Spent 4 years in charge nurse role and an additional 4 years as CNL

• Coordinate care of patients on 34-bed unit, at times also covering another unit with up to 20 more patients
• Facilitate transfer to higher level of care when status changes necessitate movement
• Communicates effectively with house supervisor, MD’s, RRT in regards to patient status and issues
• Assist staff including other units with tasks as needed including but not limited to dressings, IV’s, meds, drain placements, etc
• Field complaints, answer questions and ease concerns of patients and family members
• Quality assurance
• Urology team participation
• Staff training coordination
