By fully engaging my passion for people, I hope to become a part of a team that encourages growth, excellence, and determination. Whether I am teaching in a classroom setting or working with a general public, my goal is to give my absolute best and all that I do. I believe I have necessary skills and qualities needed to bring forth a motivated attitude and demonstrate a variety of powerful skills.
As a preschool teacher's aide and co-partner within the preschool setting, I was able to be within a classroom that encouraged exploration, learning and fun. I was able to implement lesson plans, playground rules, school policies and procedures within the classroom, all the while working to encourage growth. My particular class was a Head Start program, one that aimed to help four and five year olds prepare themselves for upcoming Elementary School education and structure. I am currently being brought on as a substitute here.
As a substitute for the Jefferson County School District I stepped into various roles throughout the community and it's various educational systems. These rules span from educational assistant at Madras Elementary all the way to serving as a sub for in school suspension at the middle school.
As an Educational Assistant II, I taught at the elementary level within the Life-skills classroom and work directly with other teachers and students. The first year and a half was within the main Life-skills classroom and I moved to the Behavior Life-skills classroom for the remainder of my time there. I worked out grade appropriate lesson plans, as well as taught both one-on-one with students and within groups. I enjoyed working with all of the faculty and watching the students learn and grow.
