Ultrasound technologist performs exams using good judgment in scanning and documenting anatomy and pathology. Graduate of Gateway Community College with active ARDMS registry. Completes procedures with skill and accuracy in fast-paced environments. Dedicated technologist using conscientious and systematic approaches to gain important information about internal body structures, development and areas of concern.
-Assess physician's orders for accurate clinical indication matched with ordered ultrasound.
-Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and their families and ensure their questions are answered and expectations regarding results are understood.
-Obtains high quality, diagnostic ultrasound images to assist physician with prompt medical diagnosis.
-Accurately document findings and discuss urgent findings with attending Radiologist.
-Proper use and maintenance of ultrasound machines and equipment.
-Assist PA and physician with ultrasound imaging and localization during invasive procedures including biopsies and OR procedures.
-Work effectively as part of the radiology team
-Work with Ultrasound program coordinators at numerous schools to schedule and onboard new clinical students.
