Test Team Lead

Intelogic Consulting Interactive Technology Solutions
McLean, VA
01.2007 - 01.2011
  • One of my first projects was to build a SharePoint website for our Messaging Department to post our documents, schedules, on/call schedules, our delivery schedule and do upload other information from our branch chiefs. With this I had to read a lot of online material to understand just want SharePoint 2007 did and how to maintain a website. I had to assign the correct permissions to 10 of our teammates but also I had to learn more information about Microsoft Certificate Authority. For issuing certificates to our site and our people. At this time, I was given a server but the design of the webpage was all my responsibility. After a while I was able to masterfully understand the concepts behind building a SharePoint website.
  • When coming to the test team the environment did not have structure or organization. It was my job to try to piece the environment together. In the beginning we had a set of 16 servers running one domino server for each application component of the EMS Infrastructure. My greatest achievement in this role was to separate each of the environments so that each group would have an adequate test environment to test their releases.
  • In April 2007 the Integrated Test Environment was a project that was handed to me with creating business processes, standard operating procedures, and managing test schedules. For each testing group in order for them to test their system or application they need to be on a schedule to enter the Integrated Test Environment. The groups are given a minimum of two weeks to a maximum of 2 years. During this time my team is responsible for providing support anything they request.
  • Able to switch domino domains from one domain to another. As an example, taking a domino server from the GALAXY domain to the XFLD.
  • Built and configure 20 Virtual Servers for EMS Infrastructure. This consisted of purchasing ESX licenses, setting up network connectivity. Building 6 virtual instances running Windows 2003 Standard Edition and migrated data from physical servers to virtual servers.
  • Use Virtual Management Consoles to administer my 20 servers. Have seen the process of cloning a virtual server that has problems to a new virtual server used this tool to capture an active server to a new build.
  • In order to support a High Availability Solution for EMS Infrastructure I am required to build a prototype that consists of 8 servers, currently have 2 HP DL580 G5's that I have to build and configure as 5 virtual servers. Also, involved with replicating that effort at another facility to replicate data between the new servers. Eventually this project will introduce a new solution to EMS Infrastructure that will have to be applied to one of my current test environments.
  • Also, have played with various COTS applications to see how they work on virtual servers.
  • Built and administered over 60 servers composed of Windows 2000/2003/2008. When administrating these servers, I have deployed Group Policies using Active Directory, the policies composed of security settings and various Microsoft and COTS applications.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting errors in Event Viewer that deal with applications, security, system issues. For troubleshooting tools have used remote desktop assistance to login into user's workstations as well as servers.
