  • Job duties: evaluating, planning and implementing a treatment program for patients referred by physicians as well as some direct access; assess response to therapy and progress towards goals; reviewing medical records to aid in evaluation and treatment of patients; documenting assessments and treatments; physician communication as needed for optimal patient care; provide patient care to all age groups; maintain patient confidentiality; education of patient and family members on aspects of treatment program and home management as needed; monitor and supervise PTA's providing treatment to patients; manage various types of insurance and effectively use therapy allocations from various types of insurance.

  • Treatments performed: manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, postural training, body mechanics training, functional training, work hardening on occasion, balance training, vestibular treatments (Epley maneuver, habituation, adaptation), gait training, prosthetic/orthotic fitting and training, patient education, neuromuscular re-education, taping, biofeedback, and modalities.
