I am a dedicated and experienced childcare professional with over twenty years of experience as a nanny, early childhood educator, and Au Pair. I am skilled in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children of all ages. I am passionate about fostering a love for learning through engaging activities and play. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues. I also have extensive volunteer experience working with children in various settings.
I have five years of experience as a teacher in Early Childhood Education. This experience has taken place over the past twenty years at a few different centers. I started at the Edward Jones YMCA when I was 18 years old and I was employed there for a few years as an assistant teacher, working with children aged infant through 5 years old. Next, I was employed at Tenderfoot Family and Child Development Center, in Gunnison, CO as an assistant teacher, working primarily with preschool aged children. Lastly, I was employed at Crouther's Academy, in Chesterfiled, MO for a few years as a lead teacher in a one year old classroom. During my time as an educator I was responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum through activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. This includes using differentiated instruction, and designing lessons that promote learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. I provided a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and grow. I was confident in my ability to observe and assess the children's development, learning, and behavior and document their progress through anecdotal notes, assessments, and portfolios to support each child's growth. I also collaborated well with my colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. During the time that I was not working in a classroom setting with children, I was working as a nanny implementing much of the same skills. Working with children has always been my passion.
As a private nanny, my primary responsibility is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for the children in my care. I am dedicated to creating a positive and engaging relationship with each child, fostering their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
I believe in learning through play and encourage the children to explore the world around them through hands-on activities and creative play. Emergent literacy and providing a literacy rich environment from birth is very important to me. I incorporate age-appropriate books, songs, conversation, and activities to help children develop a love for reading and language.
I work closely with the parents to ensure open communication and a collaborative approach to childcare. I am attentive to the unique needs and preferences of each family and strive to create a harmonious and supportive partnership with the parents.

I helped with many events at Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition, including The Cinderella Project, which involved helping girls and boys in foster care find a prom dress or tuxedo, accessories, and shoes, while helping boost their confidence and making them feel as special as they truly are. I also helped at Parent's Night Out, which gives foster care parents time to focus on themselves while we take the children on fun adventures. My favorite experience was taking the children to Circus Flora. I have also volunteered to play with and spend time with the children while their foster parent's attend training needed to be the best foster parent's they can be.
As an Au Pair for a family with four children in Australia, I provided high-quality childcare and support to the family. I cared for and engaged with the children and ensured their safety and well-being . I organized educational activities and lessons for two hours every weekday, for their son who was five years old, as well as age appropriate learning experiences for the younger children throughout our time together. I assisted with daily routines, maintained clear and open communication with the parents, and had the opportunity to experience Australian culture and lifestyle, while sharing my own cultural background with the family.
