My experience comes mostly from the food and beverage industry. I spent about fifteen years as a server and a bartender. These positions have given me so many valuable experiences. Most don't think about it, but these jobs are sales-driven. I was able to use my stellar customer service skills that I learned from the service industry seamlessly. Talking to patrons every single shift gave me the confidence to make cold calls at my first job in Minor League Baseball! I then took my talents to the general manager role at Nothing Bundt Cakes and eventually accepted a marketing/sales position.
I am now shifting focus to a sales position/remote work.
