As a Project Manager with Kirlin Way my journey started at Duke Raleigh Hospital with submittals to get the job started. High Point University Arena was needing assistance with Change Orders, Managing Materials and QA/QC.
Supported management by reporting equipment abnormalities and Connections for corrective action.
Assisted Senior PM in coordinating activities, updating team members and managing inquiries for consistent delivery and tracking of all equipment.
Utilized project schematics, drawings and specifications to complete detailed and highly accurate take-offs. Completed UNCG School of nursing, a $12M Mechanical Project and held a profit margin of 12%. Implemented a detailed Schedule for the duration of the project to insure that all subs would meet the master Schedule for completion.

Completed a $5M Mechanical and Plumbing renovation at Q2 Solutions in Durham NC, a lab and offices upgrade while holding a 18% profit.

The Goal as Project Manger position at AC Corp was to establish relationship with owners and project managers of existing Pharmaceutical Companies in the RTP area. The Goal was to keep 20 men busy while pricing jobs daily. Priced thousand of jobs between $500-$1.3M. Ordered all associated material and equipment to complete numerous jobs at different facilities. Maintaining a professional relationship between the owners and project team to accelerate the companies reputation to the next level. Managed and priced all jobs to a marginal profit. Completed all Submittals, Change Proposals, ROMs, RFIs and any close out documents associated with projects.

Managed Mechanical projects by coordinating materials, inspections and contractor tasks. Worked with Sub-contractors, owners, Engineers to coordinate Building shutdowns and installs of Chillers, Heat Exchangers, Chill plate Exchangers, add Dorms and Labs onto a Central heating and cooling Loop. Managed $2 new Heating plant at west Campus Union on the Duke University Campus. Managed schedules to complete the jobs in a timely manner. Tracked, Documented and inspected all X-ray welds in the shop and field. Managed $8M Chiller Plant three at Duke University, from fabrication to complete. Supervised and ordered all equipment and steam start up. Commission all Equipment before startup. Performed all calculations for flushing of every job. Worked directly with Duke Coordinator to access and perform work. Worked with Lechase, Skanska and DPR on numerous sites around Duke campus to complete jobs in a timely manner for the owners. Managed Lime injection system at University of Chapel Hill Cogeneration Plant, an $8 million dollar project.

Submitted project closeout documents, RFIs, Subcontracts in accordance with the contract. Assigned projects and tasks to employees based on their competencies and specialties. Followed through with competent execution of project plans by providing proper tools and equipment to all construction personnel. Performed construction site pre-inspections and daily Pre-task. Actively provided status information on project progress to the project management. Efficiently recorded and rejected incorrect deliveries of material to site. Monitored the safety of all construction activities, making on-site personnel safety the top priority. Acted as the liaison with company safety representatives to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols. Coordinated training for the construction teams on site-specific requirements. My work Experience with Quality mechanical started as a Pipe fitter/ Welder and soon moved into a Forman position. While I was welding the company had certifications to weld pressure Vessels, an R & U stamp. I took care of all repairs on pressure vessels, boiler tubes, boilers, chillers, heat Exchangers, stainless, carbon pipe and vessels. Handled all the insurance compliance, inspections and paperwork. Installed all equipment and supervised startup. Welded steam pipe to 31.1 standards. Worked on numerous local college campuses from, UNCG, A&T, UNC Chapel Hill. After much success as a Forman I was given four crews and took the responsibility of all Subcontractors, RFIs, Change Orders, ordering all equipment and keeping material ordered and the job installed correctly between College campuses, Public schools, chemical plants, EPA and businesses in the local area.

• Observed hydrostatic and dimension tolerance tests to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
• Fabricated, assembled, installed and maintained piping systems.

Work experience included Fitting and welding piping as necessary to 31.9 standards.

• Skilled with gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, 7018 & 6010.

Learned the basics of pipe fitting, drawings, welding procedures and how systems operated through an apprentice course and hand on experience completing a $20M HVAC hospital Project, Neuroscience at UNC. Business is closed.

I was a quick learner and received a truck shortly after starting employment. Proceeded as Forman and was over two crews and we completed the court house facility in Graham NC. The company is no longer in business.
