During my time with ACE staffing, I have worked in the emergency department at the critical access facility, Nor Lea Regional in Lovington, NM, and the emergency department along with med-surg at Brownfield Regional Medical Center in Brownfield, TX, which is currently classified as a rural facility. At each facility, typical days could range from seeing no patients to almost 50 patients in a twelve-hour shift, ranging from minor complaints to major traumas or cardiac arrests.
During my time with Stability Healthcare as a travel nurse, I was able to work in various emergency rooms in Abilene Tx, Tucumcari NM, and Lovington NM that ranged from critical access facilities to level III trauma facilities.
During my time in the emergency department at Lubbock Heart Hospital, I was able to build on and expand my knowledge of all aspects of the cardiovascular system while utilizing best practice for all patients.
Upon beginning my career as a nurse, I was given a rare opportunity to work day shift in the emergency department as a newly licensed vocational nurse, which expanded my passion for rural emergency medicine, as well as learning and working in all other areas of nursing in the facility at any given time. As a new nurse I learned many valuable things that became the foundation I have continued to build on.
