Main responsibilities included leading our efforts in the wet sections, SpecMetrix, and chemical usage.

Wet Section

• Ensured all PM's were finished on time
• Scheduled contractors for tank cleanings and improvements
• Met with lab technicians daily to communicate any issues

SpecMetrix

• Went to Sensory Analytics to learn how to build recipes
• Kept spare parts inventory
• Used paint over usage data to optimize recipes resulting in a large savings for the company

Chemical Usage

• Entered daily reports for usage
• Kept weekly inventory on vital wet section and lab chemicals

Main roles as a Production Foreman included ensuring the safety of the crew, coating a quality product, and reducing downtime by ensuring all personnel are being prompt with their task.

• Promoted safety, via weekly safety meetings and speaking to employees during shift
• Used ADP to update employees hours, mark absences, and enter the following weeks schedule
• Helped new operators and new hires
• Communicated to following shift and management with end of shift report
• Followed recipes for orders to ensure proper cure and coating

Operating the exit end of the line and visually inspecting coils at all times.

• Checked start and tail samples of every coil for defects
• Entered coil information that came off the line into Precoat's system and customer systems
• Verified color on samples to color standards provided by paint supplier
• Locked line out anytime the line needed to be entered
• Held coils for defects, providing details for Quality Manager to review

Testing all master coils, maintaining wet sections, and maintaining waxers.

• Ran all customer required testing on coils
• Maintained wet sections by performing titrations, and reacting accordingly
• Entered coil information into customer systems
• Held and released coils
• Maintained wax weights per order

Packaging coils, staging bare coils, and kept a clean work area.

• Maintained a clean work area
• Used forklifts and cranes to move coils to and from the line
• Changed out squeegee rolls
• Used Precoat's portal system to apply proper packaging
