As the Director of Operations, I was responsible for overseeing the operational strategy, execution, and performance of all Powerhouse Gym locations. This role requires a highly skilled and strategic leader who can manage day-to-day operations, ensure a high standard of service, and drive profitability and growth across multiple locations. I worked hand in hand with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency, enhancing the customer experience, and maximizing revenue.
- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of all gym locations, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices across all locations to ensure consistency in service delivery.
- Team Development and Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop high-performing management teams across all locations. Provide leadership, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a motivated, engaged, and well-trained staff.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial performance of all locations, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight. Develop and implement cost-control strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining a high-quality service experience.
- Member Experience: Ensure a superior and consistent member experience across all locations. Implement programs and initiatives that drive member engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to execute membership growth strategies, marketing campaigns, and promotions. Analyze market trends and competitive data to support membership and revenue growth.
- Operational Strategy: Work with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic goals and operational initiatives that align with the company’s vision for growth. Drive the execution of operational projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness across all areas of the business.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for each gym location, including revenue, member retention, and operational efficiency. Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of equipment, supplies, and services.
