  • Interpreted blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise weld placements.
  • Qualified for many of the largest gas companies in the north east under SMAW API and ASME welding procedures.
  • Bolted, clamped and tack-welded parts to secure components prior to welding.
  • Down hill/ uphill welding using 6010, 7010, 8010 and 7018
  • Welded many projects safely and effectively to ensure quality work completed on time
  • Operated heavy equipment and used a multitude of machinery

Welding Foreman

WSC Construction
01.2015 - 01.2019
  • supervised crew of 5 to 15 welders on a daily basis over a multitude of piping projects consisting of over 50 miles of steel carbon pipe and fabricating and building flow-lines directly hooking up well pads to high pressure mainlines to compressor stations.
  • delegated daily safety meetings and wrote JSAs for every task performed
  • Coordinated with bending engineers, project manager, superintendent and welding inspectors to interpret blueprints and specifications accurately, ensuring high-quality workmanship from the entire welding force.
  • Managed inventory levels of consumables such as electrodes, gas cylinders, PPE and filler materials to ensure seamless operation at all times.
  • Developed daily detailed JSA's for safety meetings, delegated work schedules for the welding team, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and personnel throughout each project phase.
  • Assisted in recruiting skilled Rig welders that were required to pass 6G and Branch API 1104 and ASME B3.13 welding test per client request with CWI to maximize job efficiency and completion.
  • Scheduled all project sections (wetlands, road bores, live lines and hydro testing) with welders and inspectors that were under severe environmental scrutiny and permit deadlines.
  • Welded the majority of tie-ins, hot taps and fixed other welders repairs due to the 100% x-ray welding code.
  • Communicated with superintendent and welding inspector on job milestones.

Rig Welder

Holloman Corporation
01.2009 - 01.2015
  • responsible for welding all pipe and fittings ranging from 2" to 42" with either API 1104 or ASME b3.13 SMAW code downhill and up.
  • The majority of projects were natural gas gathering lines tying into well heads or lateral transmission lines ranging from 1 to 100 miles in length of all sizes and grades.
  • Lay out all measurements from well pad risers and built all pipe fabrication including pig launchers and receivers deciphered from blue prints or isometric drawings.
  • examined piping structures and made calculated runs, rise and takeoffs for precise level to spec project installation.
  • 100% x-ray welds with zero defect or repairs
  • All projects were completed safely effectively and ahead of proposed completion dates.
  • Collaborated with team members to complete complex pipe installations, fostering efficient teamwork and communication.
  • Provided valuable input during project planning phases by offering insights into potential challenges and solutions based on experience.

Welders Helper

  • Assisted welders in preparing and organizing materials, pipe joints, fabrication fittings, prepping bevels and cutting 2"-42" pipe to job spec and isometrics.
  • Maintained a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols, welding procedures (API 1104) and job efficiency for completion time line.
  • Learned to operate basic welding tools, welding machines and operate heavy equipment under supervision
  • Supported welders, foreman and laborers for pipe lay out, pre construction fabrication, mainline welding, front end, firing line, tie-ins, and hydro testing piping systems for project completion.
  • Learned the API 1104 and ASME B3.13 welding procedures where i was competent enough to pass welding qualification test that allowed me to weld pipe up hill and down at 100% x-ray.
  • Upheld quality standards by monitoring welds for defects and promptly reporting any issues to the welding foreman.
  • Contributed to the completion of large-scale projects by working overtime as needed, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to the job.
