- Analyze new and continuing Disability claims using my own analytical skills along with Company provided job aids.. Making claim decisions based on my overall analysis of Disability claims.
- Well executed written communication for adverse letters to external customers; and general correspondence to all.
- Effectively communicate with external and internal customers via telephone and email.
- Train new analysts in all the above, including Company specific software for processing claims. Also spent the last 2 years training my supervisor in the Disability arena.
- Worked/work on projects (multiple) at the request of my superiors.
- Help in Problem Solving discussions, finding new ways to use Company provided tools to our advantage when processing claims, in more effective and expedient ways.
- Conduct regular reviews of claims to help identify areas or improvement.
- Cultivated positive relationships with external customers, such as Group Policy holders and claimants; and internal customers, such as fellow employees, managers, supervisors, and other departments, to make a more cohesive work environment (understanding one hand feeds the other).
- Created a Desk Tracker, modeled after the Claim Dashboard, to help co-workers track all the work they have in one location, being able to make notes and update as often as needed.
