  • City/Department Lead SB 1383-SLCP completion of the rulemaking process and authored draft SB 1383 implementation plan.
  • Formed an informal SB 1383 coalition with jurisdictions throughout the state.
  • Board Member of Solid Waste Association of North America Legislative Task Force.
  • Set Agenda and Lead meetings with CalRecycle to discuss how the City will implement SB 1383-Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCP)
  • Develop and coordinate programmatic cost estimates for SB 1383-SLCP and projected five-year forecast
  • Prepare Executive Summaries for Department of Government Affairs and Mayor's office to coordinate on bills and draft regulations
  • Coordinate with US Marine Corps Air Station, Federal Aviation Administration, and City Departments to process relevant agency permits for the Miramar Landfill Height Increase which will extend the life of the municipal landfill by five to eight years
