In the last 25 years, many facilities I have worked require extended education hours for phlebotomy, administering enemas, Foley catheter insertion (male and female), bladder irrigation (CBI), specimen collections, necessary oxygen therapy, maintaining a clean safe environment for our patients, proper clinical sterilizing techniques and acting unit secretary.
