Currently, I am seeking a full time certified athletic training position that will allow me to refuel my passion for the sports medicine field while impacting the lives of those that I serve. I am a dedicated and committed healthcare professional with an innate desire to continue to expand my skill set through continuing education as I continue to grow as a clinician. It is my goal to be aligned with an opportunity that focuses on patient care, professional development, and leadership while working efficiently with colleagues.
My 9 years of athletic training experience includes 6 years and 9 months of certified experience at the secondary school level in a private setting, volunteering as a certified athletic trainer at Morehouse College during football season, providing medical coverage for Georgia Tech Summer Lacrosse Camps over the past 3 years, and various clinical rotation sites as an athletic training student at the secondary school level, the collegiate level, and in the clinical setting. With the skills that I've acquired, I've been able to evaluate injuries, formulate rehabilitative plans, collaborate with our Director of Sports Medicine and Assistant Athletic Trainers in assessing injuries, implement protective strategies for athletes, and introduced innovative therapeutic strategies to expedite athlete healing. I have experience with activating Emergency Action Plans for at risk athletes, customizing rehab programs for short term and long term injuries, conducting inventory, creating new documentation for recording athletes' injuries, and consistently maintaining professional relationships with parents of our student athletes. I have worked with The Lovett School's varsity volleyball team for the past 6 years and we've had 2 state championship appearances. I have also served as the athletic trainer for Lovett's varsity boys lacrosse team for the past 6 years where we've had 3 state championship appearances with one undefeated season.
