I was my Grandmothers caregiver for a few years before her passing. I managed her medication, I helped her in the restroom, changed diapers, showered and made sure she had a well rounded diet.
I was in an accident back in 2020 which left me temporarily wheelchair bound. I was able to see what a physically disabled person has to deal with, and the day to day struggles of getting around.
I take me kids to speech and occupational therapies and have learned a bit about how to manage those needs for my children.
During last school year, I had my son in early intervention and I was required to be with him in his school class throughout the entire school year with him and all the other special needs children in his classroom. I enjoyed helping him and also working with the other kids.
