With 33 years of experience as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, my career has encompassed diverse roles and responsibilities. I began in the Float Pool from 1993 to 1995, followed by four years in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where I served as a charge nurse on night shifts from 1995 to 1999. From 1999 to 2012, I dedicated thirteen years to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). During my time as an ICU and PACU RN, I gained valuable experience in angiography while working in the angiography department. In 2003, I became the Nurse Liaison for the Radiology Department, a role I held until January 2012 when I transitioned to become a full-time nurse with the Radiology Department. Notably, I led the development of the Diagnostic Catheterization Laboratory program in 2006 and played a pivotal role in establishing interventional radiology and interventional cardiac catheterization programs, as well as the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology Clinics in 2012. In 2014, I created the successful Outpatient Heart and Vascular unit, which opened in 2015. In 2018, due to a leadership restructure, I assumed the position of Director over OPHV and Endoscopy. Another restructure in 2021 led to my transition to the Learning Center as Learning Center Manager. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Nurse Educator since 2023, overseeing hospital student services and functioning as the Training Center Coordinator for the American Heart Association. Additionally, I have taken on the role of Project Manager for the hospital's cardiac monitor project.
