  • Contracted worker with the State of Florida to identify and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Duties include but are not limited to providing significant services to the individuals receiving services to ensure health, safety, and well-being.
  • I am also responsible for sharing the tasks with other support persons, as the individual receiving services desires; but ultimately, I am responsible for performing all tasks required to locate, select, and coordinate services and supports.
  • Counseling individuals regarding interpersonal, health and financial issues.
  • Responsible for implementing program plans by ordering needed materials, also scheduled speakers, reserving space, or handling other administrative details.
  • I have participated in providing activities aimed at goals such as promoting rights and choices.
  • Interpret health education activities to the public through speaking, leading discussions, or writing articles for local or national publications.
  • I am collaborative with various providers to establish goals and objectives for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Scheduling special events such as camps, conferences, meetings, seminars, and retreats.
  • I analyze revenue and program cost data to determine budget priorities.
