Summary

My professional goal integrates Dr. Benner's Novice to Expert Theory in Nursing. I believe that nurses develop skills and an understanding of patient care over time from a combination of a strong educational foundation and personal experiences. I am a lifelong learner and nursing is my passion. I also believe that nursing is not a choice, but a calling to have empathy for those that cannot care for themselves utilizing evidence-based practice. My goal is to teach nurses to become nurses and not just task masters. I wish to encourage critical thinking in everyday nursing care as well as collaborative teamwork with members of the healthcare community.
