Responsible for coordinating CIT training for the Pittsburgh bureau of police along with Allegheny county. These groups included University Police, Hospital Police, Port Authority Police and smaller police departments in Allegheny county such as Crafton, Ross Township, Kennedy township and Robinson Township. Just to name a few.
CIT or Crisis Intervention Team is an international program in teaching first responders how to recognize, intervene and de-escalate a crisis situation with the end result of the subject and the first responders along with the public are not harmed. And that the "client " is directed to the appropriate agency they may need to get the help/assistance they need with great attention to Mental Health issues.
