Compassionate Certified Medical Assistant skilled in vital signs monitoring, patient education, and effective communication. Committed to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring compliance with health standards. I've been a certified medical assistant for a year and five months now, with lots of great experience from college and working in clinical settings daily. I got hired as a CMA at Ochsner in September 2024, where I performed vital signs, roomed patients, and reviewed patient medication, history, allergy, and surgical lists. I also performed EKGs, collected urine, conducted ear washes, wrapped wounds, etc. At the desk, I worked on the message box where we had patient callbacks, prior authorizations, appointment requests, and much more. I worked at Ochsner for one year until I took a traveling position with AYA Healthcare that placed me in Baltimore, Maryland, for three months, and I managed to work in two departments, M-F: Infectious Disease and Endocrinology. I'm very comfortable with both fast and slow-paced settings, my favorite accomplishment each day is making sure our patients receive the best care while under us.
