I Have working knowledge of where and how a variety of components, accessories and parts of systems such as fuel lines, condensers, and mufflers. I did initial inspection, maintenance check and service while working on vehicles identified as having common mechanical deficiencies. I have the knowledge of basic hand tools, including but not limited to, hammers, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers. I also have experience using electric power tools i.e. drills, impact wrench etc. I also have the ability to perform the repair, rebuild, overhaul, and testing of various fuel and electrical assemblies/sub-assemblies. I disassemble items, clean parts with approved solvents, solutions or other applicable solutions and gage parts to determine their serviceability. I can determine when parts should be cleaned and reinstalled or replaced. I clean assemblies and sub-assemblies. I assemble items according to tolerances specified and perform operational test. Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (including blueprinting reading). Use such tools and equipment as drill press, grinders, measuring equipment and various types of test equipment, special tools, and all hand tools common to the trade. Inspect parts prior to installing. Assist other mechanics in the assembly and testing of various fuel and electric/subassemblies such as gear boxes and various automotive vehicle components, by lifting and holding materials in place during operations. I have used test equipment such as feeler gages, dial indicators, torque wrenches. I can determine sequences of the disassembly of engines or components to prevent damage to items and to segregate assemblies and components as required.
