  • 6 years experience in the Maintenance Superintendent role.
  • Responsible for all maintenance activities, planning, and outages in ALKY2, ALKY3, AU2, Bay Plant, CFHU, DDU, Docks, FCCU3, OMCC, ULC, UU3, UU4, RDU, RHU, VRU.
  • In 17yrs with Marathon I’ve worked ten turnarounds and multiple outages / emergency shutdowns due to freezing weather, power failures, and hurricanes. In those TAR’s and outages I’ve have the opportunity to work most roles within the organization as a craftsmen, planner, foreman, outage coordinator, TAR lead, and TAR supervisor.
  • Respond, organize, and coordinate emergency outage response for plantwide power blips, freeze recovery, tank failures, fire damage, hurricane, tropical storms, and unit upsets.
  • Work with team to build and communicate timelines throughout the organization.
  • Develop future leaders and look for opportunities to help build skills and recognize direct reports.
  • RSP-1400 - developed TOR (Terms of Reference) for Daily toolbox meetings and championed the roll out of many initiatives in my area teams.
  • Develop procedures to help drive reliability i.e., MP-REP-000012-GB as well as manage and ensure compliance with Intex items, recommendations and investigations.
  • Manage MI compliance and ensure we adhere to requirements of RSP-1308

  • Served as a craft specific foreman over the instrument and electrical department at Bay Plant for 4 years, working with and managing 12 hourly direct reports. Managed MI PM compliance, participated in both the electrical and instrument advisory committees. Helped develop SKILL Builder and participated in MI Deep Dive at Canton Refinery.
  • Multi-Craft Foreman at South Houston Green Power (GBR Cogen facility) for 1-1/2yrs. Introduced and rolled out OpsCore maintenance orders to the site.

  • Hired in as I&E technician in July of 2009 with Marathon Oil Company after completing a 5-year electrical apprenticeship program, becoming a state licensed electrician, earning my Level 3 instrument certification, and working at several other facilities as a contract employee.
  • Well respected by my peers and supervisor I was asked to fill a step-up roll as crafts foreman while also fulfilling my temporary role as I&E planner which was a new position for the site at the time.
