My 15 years in Oil and Gas went through several industry downturns. While financially it was a strain on my business, I took advantage of the down times and developed better processes and procedure to make the company survive the downturns and thrive when markets picked back up. The market for my products took a major hit after the Covid pandemic. Mass layoffs in purchasing departments across oil and gas led to company mergers across the industry. I saw this as the time to sell the company to my largest domestic competitor and we completed a deal in less the 4months of the first meeting. I was offered the job of President to stay on with the company. I turned this position down to relocate closer to family in western florida and pursue a different career outside of the Oil and Gas industry.
I am willing to apprentice or obtain addition eduction for a long term employment position and not opposed to relocating.
In this position I successfully started as majority owner and ran the company for almost 10 years before selling to a larger competitor. Over the 10 years my company grew to 12 employees through 24/7 dedication to the success of our brand and employee incentives to produce quality products in a safe, high paced work environment.
In the 9,000sqft manufacturing facility equipment needed continuous preventative maintenance of machines including but not limited to: Manual Lathes, Fort lifts, Induction heaters, Welding machines, Hydrostatic Testing Equipment, Paint booths, Lathe Grinding Machines/dust collectors and company delivery trucks.
While managing the manufacturing facility, I still needed to grown the business by traveling to our 5,000sqft sales office in Odessa TX. This facility housed at times over 3 million dollars in inventory. While in Odessa I expanded our business through outside sales and vendor relations.
At a your age I was given the opportunity to experience and thrive in entrepreneurship under an experienced mentor. My skills in welding and working across multiple departments were utilized and expanded into larger roles including Inventor management, inside sales and vendor relations/purchasing.
Using my AG metals HS achievements, I was able to start my working career at entry level welding production position. Within the first year I was promoted to Lead Welder of the brazing department and oversaw two coworkers.
Job duties included: Preforming arc welding/brazing operations in a standing position for 8+hr shifts. Material inventory control/quality control. Working across departments in shipping and receiving department. Working closely with sales department in scheduling product work orders.
