While I was a senior in High School Hoopa Wildland Fire offered a "Basic 32" fire course at the high school for the first time. I was lucky enough to be enrolled and shortly after my graduation and offered a temporary spot with the department for the summer until I started my vocational school at Shasta College.

  • My Hobbies include hunting, snowboarding, riding dirt bikes/utvs and generally spending time in the outdoors which I believe directly helps in many aspects of this job Ive been able to learn a lot about terrain features and the landscape from hunting Ive acquired good driving skills by driving in deep snow, mud and wet roads as well as very steep and loose roads/trails
