  • The main goal is to help the children create a connection with the nature through games, arts and crafts, and adventures in local parks, beaches, mountains, and rivers
  • I taught a bit about the natural history of local animals, flora and fauna, and ecosystems, and also basic survival skills using games and challenges, such as the one match challenge: where students have to gather tinder, setup a teepee, and try to start a fire with only one match
  • One of my groups were some of the first people to discover the rare Hoodwinker Sunfish that washed up on the Santa Barbra shore

  • SBWCN is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and releases over 3500 animals a year from Guadalupe to Ventura
  • Provided basic veterinary care for sick, injured, and oil-impaired seabirds, reptiles, and small mammals, including animal intake, tube feeding, and examinations.
  • Cleaned the facility daily by doing tasks such as laundry, dishes, and cage cleaning to keep the center running efficiently.
  • Was the primary caretaker of dozens of the orphaned ducklings in the spring.
  • Provided aid and assistance to hundreds of injured songbirds during the Thomas Wildfires.
