Through a competitively selective student internship through school I am completed a hospital shadowing internship across six departments, including Intermediate Care (ICA), Emergency, Medical-Surgical Units l & ll, Imaging, and Respiratory/Cardiology.

• I've observed and supported a wide range of patients, patient care activities, and clinical procedures, including, wound care and dressings, catheter care, PICC lines, oxygen therapy, colostomy care, EKGs, blood draws, G-tube management, patient turning and hygiene, mobility assistance, and safe patient transfers.
• I've gained exposure to advanced diagnostics and treatments such as CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, bone marrow biopsy, abscess drainage, and IV contrast administration.
• I've observed cardiac stress tests, including exercise and medicated stress testing procedures, assisted in monitoring patient vital signs including SpO2 and exertion levels during testing, and monitored patient responses throughout cardiovascular diagnostic exams.
• I've also developed strong knowledge of hospital operations, infection control, patient safety, teamwork, and compassionate bedside care.
