I have recently started working at the Comanche Springs Pool last summer. We had to go through skills and safety procedures to ensure that we could save others. Skilled in CPR, first aid, and water rescue technique.
I have accomplished going to state twice for powerlifting and ended up winning last year. I was recognized by the city for 1st place and 6th place as a team. I have gotten lifter of the week and recognized by Thswpa.
I started powerlifting my sophomore year of high school and I ended up going to state my first year. I got 8th place and I wanted to prove to myself that I could place top 5 or even win state, so I started going to TTA sports all summer and I got a coach train me. Countless of hours of going to the gym I started to see how much I improved in such of short amount of time. After a couple of meets I soon realized that I was 1st in the state and I had a good chance of winning that year. By the time state came around I was filled with nerves and doubt but I knew I was strong enough to win. My third lift of bench was 135 pounds, and I knew if I got that lift then I automatically won state because my deadlift was my strongest lift. I go into my position for bench, all the pressure was building up on me but I didn't let it get to me. As soon as I heard press, I gave it my all and once I got up, I saw all three lights turned green. As excitement filled me I knew at that moment I won state. My 3rd lift of deadlift came and once I put the bar down, I felt a big relief off my chest and began to cry with excitement. All my hard work payed off and I was finally able to prove myself and others wrong. Ever since then I knew I could do anything if you put your mind into it and continued to show up.
