In my role as Regional Field Marketing Manager for the Public Sector (SLED) at Fortinet, I spearhead the development and implementation of strategic field and channel marketing programs, closely aligned with the goals of our dedicated field sales representatives.

Below are key highlights of my contributions and achievements in this position:

  • Within 4 months of being at the company, I achieved three marketing campaigns with over $1M in MGO as well as 16 addtional campaigns in Southeast with over $1M in MGO
  • Acheived highest marketing ROI within US SLED Marketing org in 2022-2023 with $17m closed/won opportunties for the Southeast Region with a $500,000 marketing investment in programs/campaigns.
  • Recently named winner of our US Marketing Q12024 'Team Player' Award.
  • Partner with the Americas SLED sales and leadership teams to align on business needs and drive quarterly/yearly plans and identify the most effective tactics to accelerate pipeline, growth and revenue goals.

Internal Communications Manager

At Extreme Networks, I served as Internal Communications Manager where I built employee engagement by doubling attendance of our corporate town-hall meetings. I accomplished this by working closely with our Executive team and business partners on building agendas that address topics that matter to our employees from quantitative data and qualitative feedback surveys.

  • Create internal communication strategies to amplify our Executive Team's internal presence as well as increasing their thought leadership visibility
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as an internal employee app, manage the production of twice a quarter all hands meetings and sending weekly "roundup" email content
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders on the creation of internal feedback initiatives, present those findings and advise recommendations of how to incorporate the feedback in internal programming
  • Manage internal app and intranet by providing content and quarterly reporting of metrics in regards to activity such as content contributions, impressions, app adoption rates and engagement
  • Participated as a vendor speaker at Attune 21 Virtual Conference sharing how Extreme leverages the FirstUp software to communicate to our global employee based. I have also appeared on their blogs and podcasts.

ONE Musicfest Intern

ONE Musicfest is the Southeast's largest 2 day, urban progressive music festival.

  • Served as an OMF 2019 Intern for their 10 Year Anniversary Festival
  • Worked directly with the festival founder and his team
  • Contributed as Live Festival Social Media Contributor for their OMF Twitter page during the pre-event and day of festival activities
  • During the festival I was tasked to write and gather content for the OMF Twitter page (photos/videos) for the purpose of engaging with our internal festival concert goers and external social media audience as well as various festival sponsors, vendors, artists and various festival stations around the park as well as gathered quick interviews of fans

  • Promoted to execute field and channel marketing efforts for the Channel and Strategic Regional Sales Accounts.
  • Acted in the management and implementation of marketing campaigns to ensure sales and channel enablement which included identifying key accounts to help grow and gain net new business, developing strategy, reviewing regional marketing budget/funding allocation, building out quarterly field activities including targeted programs, territory specific webinars and partner trainings.
  • Improved lead tracking in SalesForce by working closely with our regional sales team to identify their current opportunities and ensuring they are tagged to correct event campaigns. This has provided accurate reporting, targeted messaging for prospects based on placement in sales cycle and the opportunity to request a larger regional marketing budget due to marketing generated pipeline.
